MBABANE – World Vision Eswatini has formally launched Ntondozi Area Programme which will assist 12 200 vulnerable children from LaMgabhi and Ntondozi Constituencies.
The opening of this programme was announced during the new Area Programme Day of Prayer event which was held at Gateway International Assemblies Church, kaLaMgabhi.
It is said due to poverty challenges, many adults were relocating to cities with the hope of securing employment thus living behind children. This, however, has resulted to undesired risks and challenges to the wellbeing of children, hence the launch of the programme.
The organization has stated in a Facebook that this is the second urban programming focused Area Programme World Vision Eswatini has instigated.
“The programme is set to transform the lives of 12,200 vulnerable children of kaLaMgabhi and Ntondozi for the next 13 years and also ensure development through its Development projects, Child Protection and Advocacy as well as Sponsorship,” reads the post.
According to World Vision Global Annual Report 2022, for over 70 years world vision has been engaging people to work towards eliminating poverty and its causes.
In fact, the organisation has also focused on helping most vulnerable children to overcome poverty so that they can experience fullness of life.
