“We did hear the requests that were forwarded today concerning the issue of employment, as you are aware of the difficulties we had because of COVID-19 but the fact that we are gathered here is a sign that many good things are in the pipeline”, the King said.

His Majesty the King appreciated the lecturers for their time and dedication in equipping the graduates and also urged the graduates to go out and apply the knowledge they got from the College.

It is then your responsibility to inject honesty, integrity and respect to the next generation because they have to hold up the culture and values that we stand for as a Kingdom”, the King said.

The graduation ceremony was last held three years ago and was halted because of COVID-19 so the King shared His joy for being part of the ceremony again.

“It is a great honour and joy to join this graduation ceremony since it has been quite a while not having being able to come and witness it as our annual custom, due to COVID–19 that did not only affect us but the entire world. I am happy that this opportunity has once again presented itself”, the King said.

“Today we are having a large number of 570 graduates who will be getting their certificates and awards in their various programmes. We applaud and commend the dedication and effort you put towards your studies and the sleepless nights you had preparing this day.

Some of you even engaged in fasting seeking the higher powers of God to assist you in achieving the award that you saw to receive here today”, the King said.

The King then promised to see to it that the request that was made which is to turn Ngwane Teacher’s College into a University becomes a reality.

“The pandemics that we faced caused a delay in the attainment of our goals, now that we are back on track I believe that we will reach our target of turning this College into a full University”, the King said.
