GOLF – This year’s edition of the MTN Monthly Stars will be officially launched at Mbabane Golf Club on Saturday immediately after the tournament.
The format of the first competition is the Individual Stableford and interested golfers can text or WhatsApp Mbabane Golf Club secretary Thabiso Gama on 76337229 to register according to Vice-Captain Moses Masilela.
The Individual Stableford aims to accumulate the most number of points over the course of 18 holes. Depending on a player’s handicap a certain number of strokes are allocated on each hole and the table of points is based on the net score of the individual player (after handicap adjustment) or the best team score.
“The field is already full and MTN will be officially launching the unique 2023 edition on Saturday,” Masilela said.
For the first time, the MTN Monthly Masters will be played in four golf courses being Mbabane Golf Club (five competitions), Nkonyeni Golf Estate (three competitions), Manzini Golf Club (two competitions) and Mananga Gold Estate (two competitions) with the Master of Masters slated for December at Nkonyeni Golf Estate. Effectively, this means that for the first time the MTN Monthly Masters will be played across three regions; Hhohho, Manzini and Lubombo in 2023.
