MBABANE – No sleep at Siphofaneni!
Dave’s Logde at Siphofaneni along the Lubovane Dam is turning up the heat this weekend.
The lodge is set to show the true meaning of the festive celebratory mood as the venue is to host a 28-hour Pool Side Vibes party event this Saturday.
The summer event, which has over 20 artists for entertainment, is a collaboration between Melasive Jonga and Upscale Live.
Jonga revealed that this was an idea he had last year when he organised his birthday party which ended up lasting 30 hours.
“I was in the process of organising my birthday last year and as a rapper, my circle is made up of other rappers as I have a closer relationship with them. A lot of DJs supported the party and we had such a good time the party lasted a whole 30 hours,” said Jonga.
Jonga further revealed that birthday party gave him the idea to structure this event.
“The show is not sponsored and I have collaborated with Upscale Live to make this event a success and bring different artists or musicians other than DJs at the event.
“I have also collaborated with the lodge’s manager, Dave Nunes who has graciously extended check out time to 6pm the next day,” said Jonga.
Jonga further mentioned there was a campsite which accommodated around 200 people.
“The stage is set at the camping site so that no one has to leave until the show is over. This would also give people the chance to clean themselves up as the lodge manager has extended check out time to 6am.
“There are also packages the lodge will be providing which includes accommodation for two, food and four complimentary cocktails.
“There will also be boat cruises, cocktail stalls, food stalls at the venue. People can bring their cooler boxes only from noon until 4pm at E50,” said Jonga.
