… As Nsingizini welcome Highlanders in potential thriller
BY SABELO GWEBU
SOCCER – Giants Mbabane Swallows will play their second and last home game behind closed doors when they welcome Moneni Pirates to the Prince of Wales Ground on Thursday afternoon.
The red and white glamour side were fined and sanctioned to play two home games without fans following last December’s violent scenes at Mavuso Sports Centre. The first game behind closed was last Thursday at the very same venue as Caleb Ngwenya’s charges ran riot, beating Tambuti 3-1 courtesy of goals from Felix Badenhorst, Sandile Hlatshwako, and Bashir Mutanda.
After receiving a red card, the free-scoring Badenhorst is expected to sit out this match.
The pick of the MTN Premier League week 15 games is the titanic clash between Nsingizini Hotspurs and Mbabane Highlanders scheduled for Sunday at King Sobhuza II Stadium.
Resurgent Manzini Wanderers who have won their last three consecutive matches will visit Manzini Sea Birds in the early fixture of the Sunday’s doubleheader dose.
Premier League of Eswatini Chief Operations Officer Petros Vilakati released the fixture on Tuesday afternoon.
