MBABANE – The second edition of A Married Girls Luncheon will be held on Sunday, April 28 at the Albert Millin Lawn in Mbabane.
The event is expected to kick off at 12pm to 5pm. The luncheon is a joint collaboration between the Wom-Pact Foundation and Simile Ndlandla. The programme director of the luncheon will be Siphesihle Nkwanyana.
When reached for comment, the Executive Director of Wom-Pact, Hloniphile Matsebula, confirmed that they would be hosting the second luncheon with Ndlandla. She said: “We are calling all women, whether single or taken, to join us for a fabulous afternoon of meaningful discussions, empowerment, connection, inspiration, food, and fun, featuring talks on credit management, digital entrepreneurship, finding yourself, and God’s divine timing.”
According to Matsebula, the aim of this event is to empower women in all spheres of life and to provide the knowledge and exposure other women need to lift themselves up and one another through conversation and mingling. It is also a platform for women to share their personal stories and behind-the-scenes accounts. The event is focused on overcoming obstacles standing between women and their success.
When reached for comment, Simile Ndlandla, who is in partnership, shared with this publication the purpose of the luncheon. She said: “I created the luncheon as some sort of self-care for women from diverse backgrounds to sit together in a relaxed environment to talk about anything and everything that will nurture their personal growth, empower them, and assist them in tackling real-life issues that we face as women.”
Ndlandla went on to quote Roman Payne, who once said, “You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination.”
Tickets to the luncheon are E250. To set up a stall, it will cost E450.
