MBABANE – At least 300 businesses have now registered for participation in this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).

According to EITF Spokesperson, Siphesihle Nkhabindze, the applications for stands and vendor stalls are progressing well. He said this on a press statement sent to this publication. This year’s event is expected to start from August 30 to September 8, 2024.

Nkhabindze urged members of the public and other businesses to secure a space as soon as possible, as more than 300 businesses have already registered to take part in this vibrant exhibition.

The spokesperson emphasised the dual nature of the event, highlighting its significance in fostering business relationships, attracting prospective investors, and promoting Eswatini’s goods and services. Nkhabindze further stressed the popularity of vendor stalls, encouraging the public to act swiftly and secure their spaces for the upcoming exhibition, as the majority of stalls were close sold out.

Nkhabindze underscored the critical role of vendors in enriching the Trade Fair experience for visitors by providing essential services such as food and beverages, entertainment, and catering. He conveyed the team’s delight at the high number of vendors applying for stalls this year, emphasising that only those who have completed their applications and paid in full will be considered for the event. He encouraged the public to finalise their applications promptly to secure a place.

He made it clear that applications for the 2024 event should be submitted via the Trade Fair App to be considered valid. Starting from May 14 and closing on June 10th, 2024, applicants are required to complete their applications through this platform. Furthermore, exhibitors and vendors are informed that payment for all stalls must be completed by June 30th, 2024 to ensure their presence at the Trade Fair. This deadline allows for companies and individuals to acquire necessary approvals or to raise funds for the payment of invoices, which can be conveniently obtained through the Trade Fair App.

To access the Trade Fair App, potential exhibitors and vendors can either download it from the Google Play Store by searching for “EITF” or search https://bit.ly/eitfweb. Non-Android users can still make use of the browser option to register and sign-in to the App, select a desired exhibition space size, hall, and generate a quotation. The App provides an efficient system for obtaining and storing quotations and invoices, catering to those who require prior approval or financial arrangements before payment. All proof of payment for direct payments should be sent to eitfpayments@sipa.org.sz.
