… As 2022 best U-13, 15, 17, 19 teams face-off at Msunduza
BY SABELO GWEBU
MBABANE– Msunduza Sports Ground will be a hive of activity on Saturday during the Brand Active Juniors pre-season tournament.
The best teams from last season across the four categories, Under-13, 15, 17 and 19 will be crowned to mark the start of the 2023 juniors’ season. Dubbed ‘Liyasikwa Liyamila’, the tournament is one of the many Hhohho Youth Development initiatives.
Brand Active has contributed E2 000 towards prize presentation equipment and Director Esau Dlamini said the program has been closest to his heart for close to a decade.
“Youth development impact is massive as it touches our children in many different ways. We are proud to associate with the HRFA (Hhohho Regional Football Association) and this initiative is not about our sales but the kids,” Dlamini said.
Speaking on behalf of HRFA Chairman Comfort Shongwe, who is currently in Cape Verde with Sihlangu, Assistant Secretary Ntokozo Tsela applauded the sponsor’s contribution to this critical program.
“We will be training coaches and referees of the same age for smooth running of our tournaments,” Tsela said.
He encouraged parents to support their children with basic needs like soccer boots and also take time to come over and watch.
