MBABANE – More than 40 000 people attended the Hlane Buganu Ceremony over the weekend, hence the event was considered a major success.
Lutsango Secretary Joyce Gama stated that it was important for every country in Africa to have a ceremony that celebrated and preserved its culture and traditions.
She expressed gratitude for the success of the second leg of the Buganu Ceremony, and recognised the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making the event a success.
She emphasised the significance of such events in bringing communities together and strengthening cultural identity.
She also expressed her gratitude to the other countries that participated in the Buganu Ceremony, including Mozambique, Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria.
She commended the delegates from these countries for their support and participation in the event, and noted the cultural exchange and cooperation that resulted from their presence.
Gama stressed the importance of such international collaborations in promoting cultural understanding and diversity.
The Lutsango delegates also attended an entrepreneurial workshop. The workshop focused on equipping the delegates with the skills and knowledge to establish and run successful businesses. The goal of the workshop was to empower the Lutsango members to have sustainable sources of income when they return to their communities after the ceremony.
