MANZINI – About 43 models auditioned on Saturday for the debut regional auditions, which were held at the Manzini Art Centre.
The auditions were a joint collaboration of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) and the Eswatini Models Association, where models of all sizes participated. The judges included Eswatini Models Association President Nelly Simelane and choreographer Chris Du Pont.
When reached for comment, Simelane shared with this publication that after successful completion of the regional auditions, the chosen models will sign up with Arts and Culture and work on projects that will be communicated by the association, such as commercials,fashion,runway faces, and promotional. They will also receive a three-month training programme and a certificate after completion.
Simelane said, “The next auditions will be held in Hhohho at the Pigg’s Peak Art Centre on March 2. Aspiring models can check out our Facebook page, where we post updates on auditions,” shared the president.
