MBABANE – Jobs galore!
With the current grim statistics of unemployment in the country, emaSwati will be pleased to learn that at least 5000 jobs will be available upon completion and occupation of the four factory shell projects countrywide.
It is worth mentioning that the projects have not yet begun, but the groundwork has kicked off, hence the touring of the different sites where the factory shells will be constructed.
This development was announced by the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, after touring the factory sites yesterday. The four factory shells are in Nhlhangano, Gamula, Lubuli, and Hlatikhulu.
The minister shared the vision of creating work not far from where employees reside to limit transportation expenses and paying rent. Khumalo said, “We continue to believe that parliament will support the factory shell programme. We want to build more factory shells around the country in such a manner that people wake up from their homes and go to work. Rather than incur exorbitant rental and transportation costs to and from work,” shared the minister.
