MBABANE: – Good company, great music, fashion, and lifestyle.
The festive season Umswenko party is back again this year. It will be held on Saturday at Ocean Waves in Manzini. The annual party aims to give people good vibes and celebrate fashion, good company, and great music.
The brains behind the annual party, who is also the owner of SwaziRooots, an entertainment stable, DJ Kini, born Mncedisi Zwane, shared with the publication that they chose a small venue and that they hope people will attend the party and enjoy dancing the night away.
“The party will kick off with the best local artists and DJs, who will keep the crowd on their feet. If you have never been to the Umswenko party show, you are missing out. This year’s edition will be held in collaboration with local clothing brands, namely Red Drop and In the Wild.”
According to Zwane, the Umswenko party remains the largest, most loved, and most representative fashion and music event in the Eswatini entertainment industry landscape. It is for music lovers, fashion designers, and families. Last year, the party was held at the same venue.
The DJ went on to say, “This year’s event will feature local top performances by talented performers, namely: Two Cruz, Tulla, Young Key, Siri, DJ Kopzin, and Brax. People can expect nothing but good music, fashion, and a celebration of lifestyle. Get your outfit ready for this beautiful event.”
Zwane went on to invite emaSwati to come together to network, pitch, and have fun. “Our aim is not only to entertain but also to inspire the new upcoming artists, DJs, fashion designers, and clothing brands. The event promises a fusion of DJ sets and live performances.”
He went on to say that they are delighted to be working with Eswatini clothing brands. “We saw it as an opportunity for the industry to work together. On the line-up are local heavyweights such as DJ Kini, Xtrakid, L2, Mavulindela, Quinnty, Black Einstein, Laxo Lite, Fifi 012 MC, Timi Cool, and Fifi Zwane. It will be hosted by Stacy.
Zwane concluded by saying that the best dressed will be crowned Umswenko King and Queen, which will come with a great prize. “At the moment, we are still working on getting a partnership, and the organizers have revealed that so far we haven’t secured any sponsorship for the prizes. Tickets will cost E50, and at the door, they will be E70. The party is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
