MBABANE – Grab the chance to study in Mauritius.
With the dwindling government scholarships on offer that have hit the country over the years, emaSwati will be pleased to know that there is hope after all.
The Ministry of Economic Planning and Development in the South African Development Community Unit (SADC) has announced scholarships for emaSwati who wish to study in Mauritius under the Africa Scholarship Scheme.
SADC is an intergovernmental organisation with a goal to further socio-economic cooperation and integration as well as political and security cooperation among 16 Southern African states, which are Angola, Botswana, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo( DRC), Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, the Seychelles, South Africa, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Some of the main objectives for which SADC was formed were to achieve development and economic growth, alleviate poverty, enhance the standard and quality of life of the people of Southern Africa, and support the socially disadvantaged through regional integration.
