AFRICA’S GOT TALENT (AGT) FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER IN ESWATINI

Mbabane- Eswatini’s talent has caught the eye of Africa’s  Got Talent.

This is because the country has been graced by the presence of Africa’s Got Talent (AGT) Founder and Executive Monghalo N!xay KG Mogapi.

Mogapi’s visit follows the MTN Bush Fire Round Table, which attracted the likes of South African Ntombezinhle ‘DJ Zinhle’ Jiyane.

Mogapi is currently in the Kingdom of Eswatini to, hold high-level meetings with various local stakeholders in the arts industry.

This publication has exclusively conducted an interview with Mogapi and he said he is yet to reveal his full itinerary in the country tomorrow.

Mogapi is Africa’s Got Talent Founder and Executive Producer and the AGT television show was established in 2009. He is originally from the Republic of South Africa. He established the show after identifying the need to unify continental arts and culture program among the 54 African countries and the Africans in diaspora- on an equal footing.

Mogapi revealed that he was all about new inventions and a sustainable Pan-African Socio-Economic Development Model that ensured and guaranteed the establishment, enhancement and sustenance of Authentic African Talent.

“These will be showcased and availed to the world, with immediate, medium and long term benefits not only to the winners, but also their loved ones, their communities and respective countries,” he said.

The founder and executive said AGT was one long overdue project that had what it takes to unite Africa in many unimaginable ways.

“The platform where you can watch Africa’s Got Talent (AGT) is an Inaugural Live Television Show through AGT TV on the big screens and social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook Live, TikTok and others. The finals of the Inaugural Africa’s Got Talent will be hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in October 2022.

He is yet to announce his liaisons that will be working on the ground in Eswatini in a press conference this week.

The Africa’s Got Talent Founder draws clear distinctions and differences between what he has put together for the 54 African Countries.

“This will be something totally different, new and refreshing, compared to the likes of America’s Got Talent, British’s Got Talent and many other ‘Got Talent’ projects well known the world over.”

What sets Africa’s Got Talent apart ?

•          Not a franchise of America’s and Britain’s Got Talent

•          10 Categories – Designated Judges (Musician Judge for Music Contestants)

•          Judge must also be a talent developer

•          10 Winners, not 1 overall Winner

•          Prize money is in its own independent currency, gold-based and highest performing currency in the continent at the time called Golden Africa (GA).

•          Legacy Project – taking infrastructure to the people through the Winners (Arts Centre in their own communities)
