BUHLENI– No groups in Eswatini society were left unrepresented at the annual Buganu Ceremony.
The participants at the Buhleni Buganu Ceremony included individuals of all ages, of both genders, non-governmental organisations of various types, governmental organizations, large corporates, as well as Macro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Among the businesses at Buhleni were major corporations like Eswatini Mobile, MTN Eswatini, Instacash, and Swaziland Building Society.
Speaking to Eswatini Positive, Swaziland Building Society Buhleni Branch Manager Banele Nyoni remarked that they were participating in the event to support Eswatini culture as well as help more Emaswati access their financial services.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to expand the Swaziland Building Society footprint while we are here,” said Nyoni.
Eswatini Mobile Hhohho Regional Officer Simphiwe SIfundza expressed similar sentiments to Swaziland Building Society’s Nyoni.
“We came here to educate people about our products, help them register for mobile phone connections, as well as help them stay connected while they are here. In that regard, everything is going well,” said Sifundza.
Besides businesses, there were also service providers of various kinds, like the Industrial Development Company of Eswatini, Seed Soli Harvest, USAID, and the Eswatini Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC). Among the service providers were also health providers.
Speaking to Eswatini Positive News, Sister Mabuza from the Sobhuza II Clinic in Manzini remarked that they were there to help people, and everything was going well so far. The BUhleni Buganu annual ceremony began yesterday and most organisations have been here since then. The ceremony is a cultural celebration of the first harvest from the planting season.
