MBABANE – All members of the Lutsango regiment in the country and possibly outside of the country is expected to be play a role in ensuring the success of the event.
This was said by Sibongile Dlamini, who is a member of Lutsango. She was speaking to Eswatini TV’s Senior Journalist Lington Gule yesterday, in preparation for the second edition of the event, which started yesterday. The event will end tomorrow. It is taking place at Hlane Royal Residence.
According to Dlamini, the second edition of the Buganu Ceremony will not be different from the one that took place at Buhleni. “What we did at Buhleni is what we are going to do at Hlane,” Dlamini said.
She further said people people should not think that the Hlane Buganu is all about the members of Lutsango from Lubombo Region. She said the fact that emphasis was put on Lubombo Lutsango did not necessarily mean the event was all about them. The event was all about all Lutsango members.
Dlamini also mentioned during the interview that the Buganu was helpful because it attracted tourists to come to the country, which resulted in the improvement of the country’s economy. She further said women were personally helped by such an event because there were empowerment sessions that went on during such events.
Women, according to Dlamini, were taught how to run businesses in their respective areas. They were also empowered with various skills on how to make certain products that could improve lives of people.
