MBABANE – Celebrating love.
Start your Valentine’s Weekend at House on Fire on February 10, 2023 for the first big event of the year, as it reopens its doors to bring you the ultimate Traffic Lights Party!
The House on Fire Valentine’s event promises to continue to deliver a host of amazing DJs, ensuring a night to remember and a moment for patrons to create memories.
This event was confirmed by Simon, House on Fire’s Communications Officer in an interview with the Entertainment Desk yesterday.
“Traffic Lights stickers will be available at the door. These will be your ticket to love’s fast lane. At a Traffic Lights party, each individual gets to wear different coloured tags that indicate their relationship status,” he said.
In this edition a promising line-up has been revealed and it includes the likes of DJ Lu, Trend Twins, Mkay and Lady Zee among others.
The most surprising act though has to be !Sooks, who will be playing for the first time in the country in 2023, he will star alongside Speech Umlangeni.
Making a comeback to the traffic light stage is MC and content creator Mtha, she will be handling the proceedings of the event alongside award winning comedian Mdura.
The duo expressed their excitement for handling one of the biggest parties in the country and further mentioned that they were up for a good time.
Worth noting is that colours at the event signify different levels of a relationship, according to Dawson the colour green signifies that one is single and ready to mingle. Red means that one is in a relationship, or not looking for one, while yellow may mean ‘unsure ‘or ‘maybe’.
“Yellow could also mean that one is in a relationship but still open to advances. This is also a chance to dress up, in the traffic light colour of your choice. The night will feature games based on the classic theme of Valentine’s Day and love,” explained Simon.
Simon went on to share that Valentine’s Day was not just a day for lovers. Whether single or in a relationship, anyone can enjoy a night of memorable fun and meeting new people. The show will start at 9pm and tickets will be available at the door for E100.
“Safety is House on Fire’s priority and all COVID-safety protocols and regulations will be followed. Keep an eye on House on Fire’s website and social media for further updates,” he added.
