…Qibho packs Amphitheater stage

MALKERNS – South African singer, performer and songwriter Ami Faku today celebrated her birthday with emaSwati.
The singer was in the country for her MTN Bushfire performance earlier today. Turns out May 28, the last day of Bushfire is also the star’s birthday.
The star turned 30 years old today, her emotions and energy changed when the crowd started singing her birthday mid-performance.
“Thank you guys, I did not know you knew, thank you so much,” she said, cutting off her song to take in the crowd’s birthday wishes.
Clad in an all denim outfit the singer sampled songs from her early time in the industry.
The crowd went crazy when the vocalist performed ‘Ubuhle bakho’, everyone sang along and waved hands in the air signalling enjoyment.
“Oh my God I love you guys, Eswatini has become my second home because I’m here all the time,” she said.
She further closed off her performance with her award-winning hit single featuring Kabza and Maphorisa ‘Asibe Happy’
This was well received by the crowd, shortly after her performance Ami Faku attended interviews with the media where she mentioned that Eswatini for her has become a second home.
“My experience is vast in the industry, I have fans who love my work in this country and I appreciate them so much,” she said.
Ami Faku spent the rest of the day engaging in a meet and greet with her local fans. She was seen mingling, hugging and offering photo moments to the festivalgoers.
Meanwhile, Qibho Intellektual brought his fire and everything on the Amphitheater stage. The seasonal poet managed to pack the crowd and deliver a stellar showstopper performance. Qibho was a marvel to watch and over 300 people attested to that.
