ANOCA DELEGATION FOR BUGANU CEREMONY

LOBAMBA – Vice president of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Matlohang Moiloa-Ramoqopo representing president Mutsapha Berraf and his delegation will have a test of the colorful Buganu festival at Buhleni on Saturday.

The ten-man delegation is in the country to witness the landmark official opening of the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) headquarters in Lobamba and Golden Jubilee celebrations.

EOCGA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maxwell Jele announced that they will take the delegation to Buhleni after the official ribbon cutting to be undertaken by Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini.

Moiloa-Ramoqopo’s delegation includes ANOCA Zone VI president Alfred Fokolo, ANOCA Programmes Manager Ezera Tshabangu as well as presidents and CEOs of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC), Lesotho National Olympic Committee, Mozambique National Olympic Committee and the president of the Botswana National Olympic Committee Botsang Tshenyego.  

The state-of-the-art offices cost EOCGA E2.5 million to construct and will also house offices for its different affiliates across the different sporting codes.

“We intend to take the delegation to Buhleni to witness the beauty of our culture before the evening gala dinner on Saturday to be held at the Happy Valley Hotel,” Jele said.

EOCGA president Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa is expected to host a welcoming dinner for the guest at Happy Valley Hotel on Friday. On Saturday, the EOCGA guests will pay a courtesy call to the Prime Minister at 10.30 am at the hotel before crossing over to Lobamba for the official opening of the offices at 11 am.
