ATHLETICS – In accordance with Article 14.1 of the Athletics Eswatini Constitution, the association has given a notice to hold its Elective Annual General Meeting on March 11.
The notice was sent to all clubs by Chief Operations Officer Thoba Mazibuko and confirmed by AE Public Relations Officer Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini. Dlamini said the AGM will be held at the Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) Auditorium in Manzini, starting at 10 am.
While the biggest item on the agenda will be that of elections, it will also consist of an address by President Zakhele Dlamini, an annual activity report by Mazibuko and audited financial statements by Treasurer Bongani Ntshalintshali.
The will also be consideration of decisions and recommendations from the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) and CAA-SR (Southern Region) where the incumbent Dlamini is now president, World Athletics (WA) and consideration of amendments to the constitution
“Clubs are further advised to send their nominations for the Executive board by close of Friday, February 24 in accordance with article 19.2, read together with article 16.6 of the AE constitution,” Mazibuko said in a statement.
