MBABANE- The Mambatfweni Water System has opened up new opportunities for families in the community, thanks to a recent delivery of 10m by 10m fencing rolls to 50 different households by Mahlangatsha Area Programme today.
This benefaction is aimed at encouraging families to venture into backyard gardening, an activity that is possible since the Mambatfweni Water System has become operational.
With the ability to grow their own sources of food, families are now empowered to address immediate food needs while also providing sustainable options for the future.
This initiative is part of World Vision Eswatini’s Livelihood and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Technical Programme, which successfully provides water to around 900 people in the Mambatfweni community.
World Vision Eswatini’s Manzini-Hhohho Cluster Manager, Simanga Mkhombe says that the integration of these technical programmes is crucial in ensuring that children are well-nourished across their programming reach.
With the ability to grow their own food, families can now put healthy meals on their tables while positively impacting the environment.
