BANTWABABAMI’ DEBUTS ON BET AFRICA

MBABANE – Lyrikal Busta’s music video ‘Bantfwabami’ has been aired on BET Africa in just two months of its release.

Lyrikal Busta, real name Thandolwethu Masuku, released the single on September 23, 2022 under his record label, Upscale Live Records.

The song debuted this past Saturday on BET, DV channel 129 on a show called ‘Music Block’.

BET is an American based cable channel targeting African-American audiences. About 85 per cent of American households receive the channel and is owned by CBS Entertainment Group unit of Paramount Global through BET Networks.

Masuku expressed gratitude for the song making it to BET Africa, saying he was humbled by the exposure.

“This is really a dream come true. I grew up watching music videos on BET and I never thought I would have my own video played on such a big platform.

“This is a big motivational boost for myself personally and as a brand because my debut album will be released next year,” said Masuku.

Masuku further revealed getting the video on BET Africa required hard work and dedication.

“There were a lot of formalities we had to go through and that included sending the music video to all television stations.

“We received positive feedback from television stations like BET Africa, MTV Base and Trace Africa who revealed to us that the video met all the right requirements to televised,” said Masuku.

The musician further revealed that he was blessed to work with people who loved their job and took it as seriously as he did.

“I would like to thank Director Kwenu who shot and edited the music video and also all emaSwati who have supported me,” said the artist.
