MBABANE – Taking up space!
Model, content creator and now fully qualified DJ, Belinda Chester stared alongside award-winning DJ Lamiez Holworthy yesterday at 012 Lifestyle, a hangout spot in South Africa.
This was during hang out spot’s ‘Finesse Thursday’ event. Chester played her set before Lamiez and had everyone eating from the palm of her Deejaying hand.
Having started playing and tuning the decks in August this year, the internet darling has played in countries like Congo, Uganda and Angola among others, she has further made a name for herself and soared higher as a brand.
Clad in white tennis skirt and a pink crop top, paired with long hazel brown braids, Belinda had the crowd going crazy with her sound selection and dance moves. From clips in the possession of this publication, the crowd is seen going crazy and jumping on top of tables.
She interchanged from house beats to up-tempo Amapiano songs and went back to contemporary house beats. The model would be seen from time to time engaging with her fans and accepting hugs and handshakes.
She described her performance and time in South Africa as mind blowing, she said she was grateful for such opportunities because they help build on her career.
“SA was great as always, I always learn something new when I play at a certain place, I also appreciate the love from people,” she said.
Lamiez Holworthy would later say Chester was an insanely talented lady and wished everyone believed in their craft as she did.
“I met this beautiful lady and I was left in awe of her talent, she is amazing and has so much more potential I cannot wait to see her on the big stage,” said the DJ.
Belinda has a lot of creative work under her belt which includes working with MTN, Total, Girl Boss Eswatini, Fingers Barbershop, Mr Cheap, Sincephetelo MVA Fund on various campaigns, to name a few. She is also a video vixen as she has appeared on three local music videos for Lyrikal Busta, Mzwaa and M Triggerson.
When asked on how she stays it while maintaining her unique and sexy physique, she said, “For me it’s mostly my genes but from time to-time I do go to gym whenever I get the chance. I also do yoga for meditation which helps a lot as I also have to be mentally it. Basically, taking care of your body by watching what you eat is essential in staying healthy while maintaining your physique.”
She often shares ‘hot’ snaps of her on Instagram and the beauty is followed by 84 000 people. When she is not at work, she loves travelling and this has led to her creating a YouTube channel where she shares videos while travelling around the country and beyond with her Vlogs. This has led her to win the very first Swazi Boy Social Media Award for ‘Best Vlogger’ in December 2020. Her YouTube page currently sits at 623 subscribers with only 20 videos.
