MBABANE: Gospel artist Bhelekazi Kunene has released a new Extended Playlist (EP) titled Captives Release.
The EP was released on January 5. It has four songs. Bhelekazi first released a single titled SIZWILE UKUKHALA on November 3, last year. She shared with this publication that all the songs are from her album titled THE CAPTIVES’ RELEASE (Kukhululwa kwalabacindzetelekile, Luke 4:18).
When reached for comment, she said, “The EP was produced by Mayibongwe MaB Nxumalo. It was recorded at the Kingdom Embassy in Ngwane Park,Manzini. I worked with Joseph, Mayibongwe MaB, Lindani Ndlovu, Wakhile Dludlu, Daniel Chulu (band), Mnqobi Maseko, Phuthumile Dlamini, Gcinekile Nono, Mpilwenhle, Sihle Zwane, and Menzi Nhlengethwa (bvs). Nontsikelelo Magongo, Khaya, and Nonduduzo Kunene (overdubs) Makabongwe Gatjisto Magongo (mixing and mastering)… Karly B (audio tracking), Jaha Sibiya (photography), and Shabz (videography).”
When asked if she featured any other artist in the EP, she said, “I featured Mnqobi Maseko in one song, then the rest of the songs was just me,” said Bhelekazi.
This is not her first EP, as she released five before, namely Spirit of God; Nothing is Impossible, Esifubeni, Nansi Leyomini, and Sizwile Ukukhala.
Bhelekazi shared with this publication that she is a born-again child of God, a Gospel minister through music, a wife to Mr M. Kunene, a nursing professional, and a mother of two. Her ministry has been growing as she continues to preach, mostly in churches she is invited to and on other platforms provided. Raised by both parents, she began singing at a very young age and began ministry when she got saved in 2009.
She has shared the stage with several ministers in Eswatini and internationally, which include the likes of Nduduzo Matse, Linda Dlamini, Buhle Matsenjwa, Shekinah, Puleng March, Ayanda Shange, Xolly Mncwango, Nozipho Phiri, and many more. She is a full-time praise and worshipper at the Kingdom Embassy Centre in Ngwane Park, where she fellowships and is a member of Vessels of Praise.
Her mandate is to go and be as per God’s command!
