MBABANE– Gospel artist Bhelekazi Kunene’s new song from her debut album, titled “The Captives’ Release,” will premiere on South African Soweto TV tomorrow.
When reached for comment, Kunene confirmed that her new music will air on the SA channel, DSTV channel 251. Kunene shared with this publication that her friend from South Africa forwarded her new music to the TV station, and then she was notified that the song would premiere tomorrow at 5pm. The song will be played on a show dubbed ‘at 17:00,’ hosted by Thabang Mnisi.
Kunene will launch the new album on May 24, 2024, at the Old Zakhele FEA in Manzini.
The album consists of 11 tracks, while five of the songs are already out and the rest of the album will be out next month. It was produced by Mayibongwe ‘Ma-B’ Nxumalo.
According to Kunene, the album is to remind Christians that the greatest mandate is to pray, love, and win souls into the Kingdom of God, regardless of what life has thrown at them. She said regardless of how the world had labelled them, nobody belonged to the devil, as all people belonged to God. Therefore, this album titled “The Captives’ Release” basically means praying for the lost to be released from whatever the devil has a hold over them and come back to God, according to Kunene.
It is worth mentioning that on January 5, Bhelekazi released an Extended Playlist (EP) featuring four songs. Bhelekazi first released a single titled ‘Sizwile Ukukhala’ on November 3, last year. The EP was produced by Nxumalo. It was recorded at the Kingdom Embassy in Ngwane Park, Manzini.
Tickets to the launch are available for purchase at Ocean Basket Ezulwini and Manzini for E200, as well as on MoMo. For more information, you can contact +268 7640 8231 or +268 7940 8231.
