BIG ZULU ADDED TO THE UMUTHI FEST LINE-UP

MBABANE – The debut Umuthi Fest will see the Inkabi Zezwe duo in one massive show!

South African rapper and songwriter Big Zulu has been added to the first edition of Umuthi Fest line-up. The announcement was made yesterday on the official page of the festival and confirmed by Festival Director Zulu D of Megasound Events.

Born Siyabonga Nene in KwaZulu Natal (KZN) in 1986, he rose to the spotlight after releasing the single titled ‘Donsa Nkabi’ in 2016. It is worth mentioning that Big Zulu and Sjava collaborated as Inkabi Zezwe on the song titled Umbayimbayi, which has been viewed 14 million times since it was released 11 months ago.

The festival will be held next Thursday (April 18) at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, Outdoor Arena.

Big Zulu joins the already heavy line-up of other SA artists, namely; Sjava, Blaq Diamond, Lwa Ndlukulu, Aymos, Mlindo the Vocalist. Some of the local artists who have been announced so far include Zulu D, Diba Diba, The Bishops, Tom & Jerry, President, Bandzie, De Wolf, Selby, Master P, The Prefect, Sbu De Drum DJ, AyaCity, Rekorder, Bee, Drum Rhythm, LadyZee, Its All Blaq, Proness, Matamza, Tilungu, Tikaluv, Expo, Chantel, Crooks, and 1D.

SA Afro-pop duo Blaq Diamond partnered with Megasound Events for the first edition of Umuthi Fest. Umuthi is a record label and movement founded by Blaq Diamond, following their musical journey.

Tickets to the festival are available at Computicket. Presale general is E150 and VIP is E400. Tickets at the gate will cost E200.
