MBABANE – A worthwhile collaboration!

Bless LePoet, born Sibusiso Shongwe, has collaborated with NinefourBeat, born Sanele Comfort Dlamini, featuring Drejik from Malawi and Anati from South Africa, on a song titled “Depression.

The two local artists are hoping their collaboration will be the biggest song in the country. The song ‘. It is all about the hardships of coming up in the industry and how challenging the journey has been. The duo shared with this publication that some people have tried stopping them from their dreams, not just in music but also in life in general, but they soldiered on!

“In the song, we outline where you want to be in the future. It is also about motivation and inspiration for other artists who are struggling with unemployment. This is what drives people into depression and despair.”

The track is produced by SeimeStones, DPR, and NineFourBeats. It will be available in all digital stores and on social media platforms.

Bless LePoet hails from Phonjwane, under the Siphofaneni constituency. He became a poet in 2021. “It started off as an idea at first back in secondary school while I was in Form 3. That is when I was intrigued by the idea of delivering a long message through poetry. That’s how I started to become a person of extraordinary thinking; as the saying goes, the rest is history.”

Shongwe shared with this publication that he was inspired by Scooby the Poet (Sibonginkhosi Ngwenya), who made him believe in himself when it came to writing, which helped him. “I love poetry because it entertains people, and I am very good at what I do, which is entertaining and giving people a good show. I have fun doing what I do best, which is thrilling,” shared the poet.

He is one of those artists whose music has also enjoyed airplay on Eswatini Broadcasting Information Services (EBIS). He was also interviewed by Eswatini TV. He was featured in the United States of America (USA) Pepper Magazine in April of this year.

Sanele Comfort Dlamini, whom he featured on the song, was born in Bhunya (Mangcongco). His stage name, “NinefourBeats,” was inspired by the beats of the year he was born. He is a music producer, artist, and songwriter. When he started his music journey back in 2014, he used to sell beats at school (Osuthu Methodist High School) for pocket money. In 2018, he decided to take his career seriously and opened his studio. Dlamini started working on both vocals and production to generate more income to help his mom pay the bills after he lost his dad. The music he makes is inspired by the work of Lucky Daye.
