MBABANE – Break Your Shell Eswatini will host a Mother’s Day celebration.
The When Women Worship Team brings to Eswatini lion eagle queens the day of celebration titled ‘Break Your Shell’ Mother’s Day, which will be held at the George Hotel in Manzini on the 11th of May 2024 from 8:30 am.
The theme for this year is Arise to Your Story! When reached for comment, Pastor Phiwayinkhosi Mabuza, who is the pioneer of the Break Your Shell Eswatini Mother’s Day Celebration, shared with this publication that they started this celebration in 2017.
This year’s celebration marks the eighth edition. “We started with a handful of women in 2017 at the Theatre Club, and we have seen God as women give their time, setting everything aside to be celebrated in a different but special way. The build-up over the years had been humbling. We are expecting the number to increase even this year; hence, we request that the ladies secure their seats as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
Mabuza went on to add that last year, local and international powerful esteemed speakers stood out and made a stride in impacting humanity in their diversified calling. “The main purpose is to celebrate, uplift, and equip the ladies, young and old, to stand and face life struggles head-on and aim to reach God-given destiny.”
According to Mabuza, the last Mother’s Day celebration was a success, as they had additional tables bought by companies to fill the hall, and that was humbling on its own. “We had renowned speakers such as Dr. Apostle Alex Tsela from South Africa, who happens to be my mentor and my spiritual father in the Lord. This year, we are expecting two SA-based, eloquent motivational speakers to give their best for a mom to feel the embrace. The event will see a few artists, namely Nondumiso Nhleko, Bhelekazi Kunene, and more, perform.”
Mabuza shared with this publication that the dream team has been women organisers who started off the journey with her and have been consistently taking the events from one level to the next, and above all, Father God has been providing for every step they took until this day they trust His leading.
“All young and old ladies are invited from all walks, and all that we say is dress up, show up, and get yourself the best out of the day. Above all, we older women are tasked with a greater commission. That is, to go on deliberately and willingly render continuous care of watching over one another, to encourage and stir up the inner man, and to assist in noble activities as the word of God stands in Hebrew 10:24–25. This is an opportunity to share experiences and, by so doing, instil uprightness, courage, and resilience in the one who has given up so to stand out in the threat of defeat.”
She shared that beyond the event, they have created monthly podcasts on the When Women Worship YouTube page, where the team brings topics of interest to empower, equip, and uplift not only women but humanity.
