SOCCER – Searching for only their fifth win of the season, defending MTN Premier League champions will play host to giants Mbabane Highlanders in a titanic week 13 MTN match scheduled for the Mavuso Sports Centre.
While the office of the Technical Director at Football Association’s Sigwaca House will be scrutinizing new Highlanders coach Solly Luvhengo’s qualifications, the ‘Bull’ has a new broom sweeping clean at their Ezulwini Sports Ground training base. The former South Africa’s national Under-20 and Black Leopards coach replaced Dumisani ‘DU’ Makhanya this week in swift changes announced by club boss Ally Kgomongwe.
Yet to test defeat table toppers Young Buffaloes will play host to basement Seven Dreams at Mhlume’s Nsukuwansuku Stadium while the Manzini derby between Wanderers and Sundowns will be played inside the capital city at Prince of Wales Ground in some of the interesting pairings slated for Saturday.
After burying their director Gcina ‘Shebeleza’ Dlamini in a week of sorrow and shock, MTN National First Division newcomers Kappa Kappa will return to the field on Saturday when they visit promotion favorites Milling Hotspurs at Manzini Club Sports Ground before playing the pending game against table-toppers Rangers next Saturday away at King Sobhuza II Stadium.
Dlamini who was also Mayiwane Member of Parliament was laid to rest last Saturday with Kappa Kappa players playing a major role in the funeral proceedings.
