MBABANE – If you have always wanted to be part of the Ekhaya drama series, then this is your chance.
Bumba Media, which is behind the hit local series, is looking for six new members to join the cast for the second season. The auditions will be held on Saturday at the Mbabane Theatre Club from 8am until 6pm.
This was confirmed by Simangele Shongwe, who is the Production Manager of the media house. Shongwe said, “We will be hosting auditions this Saturday at the Mbabane Theatre Club. We are adding the cast for the new season. We are looking for six new actors to join the drama series. They must be between 20 and 50 years old, both female and male.”
She went on to add that those interested in participating in the audition should follow the link that will take them to the monologues which they should practice for the audition, which will be recorded. “We have waited four years for this!! The time has finally come, and we are looking for you,” Shongwe said. She urged those interested to click the link below to get your auditioning monologues and hone those crafts!

According to the production manager, they are only looking for emaSwati to be part of the drama series. It is worth mentioning that the auditions are free.
When asked if the actors from the first season would be returning to the new one, she said, “Yes, we are adding the cast. The actors from the first season will return to the show, with Thembinkosi Mthethwa as the leading character as well as the other actors in the storyline.”
The last season ended four years ago. This year Eswatini TV commissioned the drama series to the return to the small screens.
In 2021, two lead characters of the drama series, namely Thembinkosi Mthethwa and Regina Khumalo, were nominated for the Best Actor/Actress Award at the 2021 SWAMAs.
