MBABANE– A festival for social change!
The internationally renowned festival is becoming a great tool to address socioeconomic and today was proof for that.
This morning, through the United Nations, the MTN Bushfire hosted its first dialogue on gender equality and non-discrimination.
Moderator was hip hop guru Thamisanqa ‘KrTC’ Sibandze.
In the panel of discussion was UNDP’s Zanele Thabede Vilakati, Mpendulo Masuku from the DPM’s office, Sisanda Mavimbela from the LGBTQI+ Consortium and Sizakele Hlatshwayo from WLSA.
In discussion was the fact that gender-based violence (GBV) could be stopped starting from an individual level.
“We can all play a role in ensuring that the SODV Act is enforced. Let us all play a role in raising awareness to end GBV,” said the panelists.
