MBABANE – Eswatini Business Education Teachers Association (EBETA) gathered Form Three to Form Five learners of commercial subjects from different schools in the country on Tuesday (June 4, 2024) at Millennium Park in Manzini.
The gathering was aimed at educating and advising the pupils on programmes they can study at universities and colleges when they complete their high school education.
Pupils were also educated about opportunities in business field and the work opportunities available to them.
EBETA secretary, Precious Kunene said they took the initiative because they saw a gap as pupils struggle to find programs to study after completing Form 5. “Pupils will gain knowledge because most of the time when they complete school they do not know what they should apply for and where,” said Kunene.
Also present was Business Education Inspector Phila Dlamini, who thanked the organisation for recognising the need for pupils to get enough knowledge.
One of the pupils who attended the event said she was grateful for such an opportunity, as it was going to add more value in her life and in the country. “It will help giving back to the economy of the country because we will create employment for ourselves as there is no employment,” the pupil said. Different companies were also present to educate pupils about business.
