BUSINESSES SUPPORT BUGANU CEREMONY IN THEIR NUMBERS

HLANE– The second edition of the 2023 Buganu ceremony saw Eswatini businesses and non-profit organisations show up in their numbers to support the traditional event.

Similar to the Buhleni Buganu ceremony two weeks ago, the Hlanu Buganu ceremony saw businesses and other organisations set up in their stalls to engage with the public.

Speaking to Eswatini Positive News, Samkelo Gumedze in the IT department of the Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC), expressed that they were happy to be engaging with young people interested in development at the ceremony.

“As ENYC, we were here today to let the youth know what kind of services and opportunities are them for them. We have been talking to curious youth about the opportunities of funding their businesses in the agriculture and Technical Vocation Education and Training skills,” said Gumedze.

Eswatini MTN was also sensitising the youth about their services, and getting feedback from customers. Lungelo Seyama who was found manning the MTN stall, said that everything was going well so far.

“We are excited about the attendance, as there seems to be more people than there were at the last Buganu Ceremony at Buhleni two weeks ago”, said Seyama.

Seyama’s words were echoed by Sandra Matsenjwa from InstaCash, who also expressed that they were able to register a number of customers and give gifts to those who.were making a deposit on the spot.

Other organisations which were present to engage with the public included the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP), Standard Bank’s Unayo, the Eswatini Water Services Cooperation (EWSC), Eswatini Mobile, Eswatini Revenue Services, as well as Instacash among others.
