MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has released interim Coach Dominic Kunene after the dismissal performance in the last two games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
National Under-23 Coach Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane takes over the reigns as he would lead the team to the COSAFA Cup with the assistance of development coaches being Under-20 Coach Mduduzi Nxumalo and Under-17 Coach Nsindiswa Gama who is currently Mbabane Swallows Assistance Coach.
Kunene was due to lead the team to the COSAFA Cup set to start late this month.
Ntibane is also given the reigns as an interim while EFA is still on the process of hiring a new Coach for the team.
The changes were announced by EFA President Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane on Wednesday morning during a press conference in the company of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Mngomezulu.
Sihlangu lost 1-0 to Angola and 2-1 to Mauritius on Friday and Tuesday in the leaving the locals at the bottom of group D in the qualifiers.
