GOLF – Sandile Chonco beat a field of 28 golfers to win the Mkotoka Leg of Lamb.
Mbabane Golf Club is in partnership with Mkotoka Developers. The seasoned ‘Category B’ Chonco played a commendable 20 points in the blazing hot conditions and the Mbabane golf course.
Coming second was senior golfer Alex Dlamini who beat retired football star Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe on the count back on 19 points. Completing the top five brackets was McDonald Lelaka on 18, prevailing over Mafukuzela Nojekwa on a count back.
This Saturday, the 2023 second edition of the Futis Golf tournament will be staged at Mbabane Golf Club and it will be played in the Medal Stableford format. The 18-hole competition has a bomb start of 9am and a field of over 50 golfers is expected.
