MBABANE – Jingle all the way!

The above sentiments resonate closely with every child living in Ezulwini and surrounding areas as construction businessman as Alex Magagula of Ngwenya has promised 230 Christmas lunch and toys.

A local centre at Mvutjini is going to be used to host the lunch for the children and further hand out the toys to them.  Magagula, when announcing the good news, said he was calling all out children to gatherat the Mvutjini centre on December 3, 2022 (this Saturday).

“Children are the beacon of hope; they are the future that is going to change the country and the world. We need to take care of them while we can and make sure they do not run out the most basic things like food,” he said.

In addition to that, he said the main reason behind the Christmas lunch was motivated by the love he has for children. When asked about how he came about picking Ezulwini for his Christmas initiative he said “My home is Ezulwini I grew there and to me it will always be home”.

When estimating the amount of money he intends to spend on the Christmas, lunch Magagula said he is looking to spend slightly above E10 000.

“This is not about the money but of course I need to make sure every child is fed and leaves with a special Christmas toy,” he said.

A health motivator from Khula said they had heard about the upcoming lunch and said they were looking forward to it because it would help ease a load off their shoulders.

“As a community, this makes us very happy, we are overjoyed about the news because this will help every child. We have children who eat from trash bins because there is no food at home,” she said.

Echoing her sentiments was Lobamba Member of Parliament (MP) Allan Stewart who said they were grateful of the businessman’s gesture. He then mentioned that, to them, it meant a great deal to have someone look out for the children.

“This is good news, every child deserves to experience Christmas cheer and what this gentleman is doing is commendable,” he said
