MBABANE– Recently, the Asylum EP creator made history during her debut Coachella performance.
Following her Certified Gold 2023 Project ‘Asylum’ announcement after just one week of being released, Uncle Waffles continues her upwards trajectory.
This past weekend saw her kick off her USA Tour by re-introducing the Amapiano genre to Coachella, as the first Amapiano DJ to perform on one of the main stages at the esteemed international music festival.
In the early hours of Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Ciara took to her Instagram stories to share her love for Uncle Waffles.
This is as she shared a video from Uncle Waffles’ second weekend at Coachella and added a caption fawning over the Tanzania hitmaker.
However, this was not the end of the surprise for Uncle Waffles and Ciara fans.
Uncle Waffles then took to her social media to confirm having met Ciara in person. But more than that, Uncle Waffles was also able to teach Ciara the moves from her viral dance challenge Yahyuppiyah.
Uncle Waffles and Ciara produced some fantastic Yahyuppiyah challenge dance moves at Coachella.
Waffles has been hogging headlines ever since she had a set at Coachella and performed in front of people from all walks of life.
Fans and followers gushed over the pair, with some mentioning that when grace is located Waffles it made sure.
“When grace locates you, nothing can stand between you and your greatness. This is the case with Uncle Waffles, who is in her gone-girl era,” said one fan.
Another said it was quite inspirational, considering how Waffles became a household name.
“About two years back, a video of her doing her thing behind the decks took the country by storm. Everyone wanted to know who the talented cutie was. International rapper, Drake, also saw the video and instantly became a fan. From there on Waffles started getting many gigs, and did a couple of international tours,” she said.
Meanwhile, both Ciara and Uncle Waffles expressed love for each other, captioning their posts with heartenderaing captions.
