CLEOPATRA’S LIVE ALBUM RECORDING THIS SATURDAY

MBABANE– Award-winning Eswatini country musician Cleopatra Methula is set to record her live album.

The musician will record her album at the Mbabane Theatre Club on May 6, 2023.

“Hey friends and family, finally the big news we have all been waiting for. A Decade and A Rose Live Album recording. Help me celebrate this beautiful journey in music. I look forward to seeing you all. Let us make history together. Thank you to all sponsors for supporting this recording,” said Methula.

Methula’s latest single ‘Find My Way’ which was released in April topped the Eswatini iTunes charts last Monday.

“I am humbled by the love emaSwati have given me on the single which is the first in two years. The song was produced in Barcelona, Spain and I am overjoyed that the song appeals to international audiences too,” said Methula.

Cleopatra Gcinekile Methula, known professionally as Cleopatra Methula was born on December 29, 1993. She is an Eswatini Country music singer, songwriter, guitar player, and graphic designer.

She has been referred to as the ‘Queen of Country Music in Africa’ by CNN African Voices. Her songs are written in siSwati and English and her original song-writing skills have created a new energetic scene in the country music world.

Methula is the very first female country musician from Eswatini to be nominated and invited to Perform at the ‘TEXAS SOUNDS INTERNATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS’ held in Texas in October 2019.

Amongst her many achievements, Cleopatra is one of the musicians who are proud to have been able to meet the Country Music Icon Mr. Kenny Rodgers during his last tour in South Africa.

Cleopatra’s Musical journey which was featured by CNN African Voices on February 8, 2019, was such a great achievement that broke barriers in her music career.

She has also performed in front of His Majesty King Mswati III, on several occasions which include the army day and other prestigious awards events.
