…..Already company has employed 1600 Emaswati
MATSAPHA – Clockwork Giant Clothing manufacturers of G Fox protective clothing is bringing 400 employment opportunities for Emaswati in two months’ time, January 2022.
Already, Clockwork Giant Clothing currently who employs 1 600 Emaswati in the manufacture of G Fox products has since decided to provide more job opportunities to inhabitants of this Kingdom of Eswatini.
In fact, what seem to be good news is that a large percentage of G-Fox products is now manufactured in Eswatini and exported to other countries including South Africa which then distribute it to other branches and further export the locally produced products to Zambia, Mozambique, and other countries.
G Fox supplies personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning chemicals, cleaning consumables, cleaning equipment, paper products, hotel amenities and gardening tools. G Fox Pty Ltd is a private company operating within the consumer durables and apparel sector focusing on apparel, accessories that are distributed locally and throughout southern Arica.
In South Africa, the company has nine branches.
Located in Matsapha, the company has since taken its first step towards investing about E440 million in Eswatini starting from January 2022. This is one of the commitments it made in 2019 to investing in the kingdom of Eswatini.
According to G Fox General Manager Suranga Ariyawansa, G Fox now has the DNA of Eswatini, therefore it wants to strengthen its support through improving the lives of many Emaswati who are, and have been, supporting its expansion. Ariyawansa has disclosed that the company has given back to many consumers through its corporate social initiative (CSI) since 2010. It has done by donating 10000 school shirts, also donated orchard tree to 10 schools countrywide with each school receiving a batch of 100 trees. In total, G-Fox has donated 1000 fruit trees to schools around the country in 2015. Furthermore, the company has donated 10 000 reusable masks to the Ministry of Education and Training and 3000 disposable gowns/overalls to the Ministry of health, to assist The Kingdom in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
“We love the country and we are part of it now. In fact, we are bringing 400 job opportunities to Emaswati from January 2022. For now, we have started assembling our workshop and bring more equipment in preparation for more employees,” explained Ariyawansa.
He said the company will be a hive of activities in the next 12 months as it will train and continue producing high-quality products.
G-Fox employees have thanked the company for, over the years, bringing a smile to everyone on the team, saying it always boosts their spirits when they needed it most.

Meanwhile, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Mancoba Khumalo said one of the projects government has its economic recovery plan is the expansion of Giant Clockwork Clothing.
“We are excited to report that indeed this promise is beginning to materialise. The additional employment is testament that indeed Eswatini is open for business. We are aware that this company has seen growth in their regional and European markets in the middle of covid-19 and have demonstrated that adversity is fertile ground for innovation and imagination of your business. We as the government of Eswatini are focused on the textile industry and we see immense growth opportunities in this sector as the demand apparel in the region grows.
