MANZINI – The Comesa Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) – Eswatini chapter is planning to visit the country’s 59 constituencies to sensitize women entrepreneurs about its activities and to encourage them to work together to lift the country’s economy.
When disclosing this good news, COMFWB Chairperson and Manzini South Member of Parliament Thandi Nxumalo said they are also hoping to elect two members per region who will form part of COMFWB executive. She said women entrepreneurs in the country have the power to help government lift the economy.
The MP spoke lengthy about the importance of women in business when closing a three day workshop on Friday that was attended by over 50 women entrepreneurs from various organizations. The workshop was funded by Comesa in its quest to empower women under the Comesa region. Nxumalo disclosed that COMFWB Regional has signed an MoU with Ae Trade Sokokuu where women in Eswatini will do business at a 50 per cent discount.
