MBABANE- The Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Service (EBIS) is now live on the internet.
EmaSwati and listeners outside the Kingdom of Eswatini will now access EBIS 1 and EBIS 2 at any part of the world as the radio station has officially launched a website.
Disclosing this information today was EBIS Director Sabelo Dlamini, who said they were excited that they now had a website which would help expand accessibility.
“As a radio station, we had to move with the times and be innovative as well. EmaSwati will now access us even if they are not anywhere near a radio by using the internet on their gadgets.
“We are now available on www.ebis.co.sz,” said Dlamini.
When asked about other interesting projects the station had lined-up, the Director said they were planning having visuals- so that emaSwati could witness their favourite broadcasters behind the microphone.
EBIS is also now available and active on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube- where people can remotely access them.
Features on the website include shows, radio DJs’ profiles, podcasts, schedule and general news.
Other interesting features on the website include advertising rate card, gallery and music charts.
Meanwhile, EBIS join five other local radio stations that are accessed online. According to https://mytunein.com/africa, over 45 countries in Africa have online radio. Under Eswatini, the website has listed Hala Radio, Jelele FM, Radio 268 Mbabane, WillBamz topstereo and TWR Africa 1170khz.
