DJ CUP TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE IN MOZAMBIQUE

MBABANE – Local DJ Cup will release his new single, Groove in the City, in Mozambique on Saturday.

The single will be available on all digital platforms on Friday, but it will be launched at Maputo Opium Club. This was confirmed by New Life Records Thembinkosi Mthetwa, under whom the DJ is signed.

When reached for comment, he said, “Groove in the City is an instrumental song made from the elements of international house music sounds, and the idea was more of a groovy song for people to connect to and dance to—more of a spiritual house music song, I’d say.”

When asked why the launch was in Mozambique, he said, “Opium is one of the biggest clubs in Mozambique. Having the launch there was ideal because the song is also more of an international-crafted jam that you can play anywhere, anytime, so I am looking forward to it. should be an amazing experience,” said the DJ.

Born Welcome Zama Maseko, aka DJ Cup, has been a DJ for over 10 years now and has performed at countless events in Eswatini, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mozambique. DJ Cup specialises in mostly deep house music. He also produces house music. He also does deep house podcast mixes, both online and offline.

The DJ is currently working as the operations director of New Life Entertainment. A local entertainment establishment that deals with events, sound hire models, music, and a recording studio.

Some of his projects include a feature with Floewe on a song titled Take Me Away, Happiness, where he worked with Slotta and Mvelo, Amaphupho, which featured Mandisa, and many more.
