MANZINI – Save the date!
South African DJ, record producer, singer, and songwriter DJ Maphorisa is set to perform at The XChange Lounge on May 31.
The show dubbed ‘DJ Maphorisa One Man Show’ was confirmed by the Marketing Manager of the establishment, Meluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane. He said, “Yes, we are definitely going to be having DJ Maphorisa at The XChange Lounge on May 31. The XChange is thrilled to announce a one-man show. The show promises to be an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to catch DJ MAPHORISA in action!”
He went on to say, “It’s going to be an unforgettable night that you’ll never forget! Get your tickets now, and come prepared to dance the night away. See you there.”
When asked if there would be any local supporting acts on the day, Sluga shared with this publication that they still have time and will announce the full line-up as soon as possible, including the residency DJs.
Gates will open at 2pm on the day.
DJ Maphorisa, born Themba Sekowe, is a record producer with a blend of house music, Amapiano, and Afro-pop. He has worked with renowned artists such as Wizkid. He is widely recognised for his contribution to the growth of Amapiano. As a member of Uhuru, he gained popularity with hits such as Wayitjukutja and Khona. He is a multiple-award winner and has worked with international artists.
Tickets are now available for purchase at the following locations: in different phases, from E80 to E430. The tickets are sold at Spur in Mbabane, The Ocean Basket in Ezulwini, The Tattoo Palace in Ezulwini, Tops in Matsapha, The XChange Lounge in Manzini, and SPAR in Manzini.
