MBABANE – Eswatini creative Krayzie Historian is over the moon with inspiration as DJ Sbu openly expressed his love for his content.
During episode 32 of the Virtual Mkhukhu podcast with DJ Sbu and Penuel “The black Pen” Malinga, DJ Sbu brought up a Krayzie Historian video for discussion. For about a minute, DJ Sbu and Penuel discuss Krayzie Historian’s video, where Sbu emphasises that he has been a fan of Krayzie Historian for a while.
Krayzie Historian, real name Bagcinele Fakudze, confirmed that DJ Sbu began commenting on his videos in 2022, along with other South African celebrities like Khanyi Mbau and Sho Madjozi.
Speaking on the video which got DJ Sbu and the Black Pen talking, Krayzie Historian said that he made the video which criticizes Penuel simply because it had to be done.
“It’s very ignorant for a black man with such power and following as Penuel does to spew anti-black sentiments, especially on large podcast platforms. It was my responsibility as a black man to put him in check and make him see the error of his ways. And I appreciate him, for he received and responded to my message in both my comment section and on the podcast conversation with DJ Sbu,” said Krayzie Historian.
During his response on the podcast, Penuel was very receptive to Krayzie’s criticism, noting that Krayzie was very respectful in his approach.
Krayzie says he found out about the podcast conversation of his video through a friend who sent a snippet of the episode on a WhatsApp group chat.
“We were all shocked and excited; and I immediately went to watch the entire episode. I watched so many times and my friends and I were making the funniest of comments in relation to the whole situation,” said Krayzie in hearing Sbu’s take on his videos.
“I genuinely couldn’t believe it and I swear I watched the conversation four times back-to-back before I accepted that it’s really happening. I mean it’s not every day that you find out music and radio legend like DJ Sbu is having a conversation about you on one of his large platforms ‘Virtual Mkhukhu’. And not only having a conversation about you, but also praising your work and that he’s been watching for some time now. It’s truly surreal. Shout out to Penuel the Black Pen too, because for him to engage in the conversation with Sbu about my criticism of him shows the kind of man he is,” added Krayzie.
KrayzieHistorian is the most popular Eswatini TikToker who does not do comedy content.
His videos on Eswatini, Southern African History, as well as African History have garnered over three million views from all over the world. Krayzie Historian has received the attention of other popular South African celebrities including Sho Madjozi and Khanyi Mbau who has commented on a couple of the content creator’s videos.
