MBABANE – A second mix is on the way!
Local Disc Jockey and producer DJ Stig is set to host his second live mix event on Sunday at the Garage Bar in Msunduza, Mbabane.
DJ Stig, born Simphiwe Mthethwa, previously hosted his first edition of his live mixes at Potchefstroom, South Africa, in 2021, and the video is currently available on YouTube, where it has amassed over 49 000 views since it was uploaded.
The DJ shared with this publication that he decided his next live mix would be in Eswatini, as it is his place of birth. “I did the first mix while I was at school, and the response to it was amazing, so I decided to bring it home,” said Mthethwa.
DJ Stig added that he specifically chose the venue because he had a special working relationship with the establishment, and it was sure to cater to the ‘vibes’ he would be looking for. “I need a place where the people are lively and the energy is fun, so The Garage was a no-brainer in this case,” he explained.
When asked what patrons could expect to see at the show, DJ Stig said he would be showcasing new music he produced during his live mix set, along with a few exclusives from artists he is currently working with.
“Not only will my set be fire, but we will have performances from ‘Savannah’ hit maker Kapten, a set from the amazing Bay Bash, a sneak preview of local rapper Size Killa’s new album, and much more,” he said excitedly.
Other acts listed on the line-up include DJ Castle, Sean, MKO, and Garage resident DJs. The DJ also mentioned that his set would be live on his Instagram page (@official_djstig), so followers would be able to stream it on their mobile phones.
