MBABANE – Doctors Without Borders has donated a motor vehicle to SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini.
SOS received a gracious donation from Médecins Sans Frontières, who have clearly exemplified their core value of humanitarian work, by donating one of their assists to a humanitarian childcare organisation, with the aim to assist in expanding the work of the organisation.
The car, which is a brand new Avanza was handed over by the Médecins Sans Frontières project Coordinator, Josephine Masilu, and received by the SOS Children’s Villages National Director, Phindile Nhleko-Makama.
“SOS Children’s Villages is so grateful for the donation which came at a perfect time when we needed additional motor vehicles as we expanded programs reach in distant communities. Furthermore, the donation is aligned with the ONE LILANGENI CAMPAIGN which is targeting to raise funds either financially or in-kind from organisations and individuals,” said the Director when accepting the donation.
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an independent international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters.
Meanwhile, Masilu said, they hoped SOS will benefit greatly from the vehicle and that, in the near future their relationship with the village will grow and amount to greater things.
