DPM THANKS STAKEHOLDERS FOR HELPING THE DPMO

MBABANE – The Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Themba Masuku has thanked the public and stakeholders for helping the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO)

In a video running for over 13 minutes shared his gratitude with everyone who has made the work of his office easy and successful.

He went on to mention that, everything the office does, is made possible the public, sponsors and relevant stakeholders who helped them.

“ It gives me pleasure to say, everything that this office is is because of the public, our donors and stakeholders who help with almost everything,” said Masuku.

In addition he said, his office prides itself in ensuring the safety of children, elderly and persons living with a disability among other things.

Worth mentioning is that, The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office exists to set up and oversee a national policy and institutional environment that support effective delivery of government services.

This is done through a well coordinated system with a special emphasis on a comprehensive social welfare system; gender mainstreaming; children issues as well as proactive disaster preparedness within the development discourse.

They also have to uphold the provisions of International Legal bodies i.e. United Nation Convention on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (UNCRC) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC).

Domesticate the provision of international Legal Instruments to ensure that legal instruments and Regulations reflect, support and protect the comprehensive needs and Rights of Children.

Evaluate and review all existing National Legal instruments governing the treatment of children to ensure compliance with International children treatment standards, provisions and practices.
