E.U, BAPHALALI RED CROSS ASSIST LISWATI START A POULTRY FARM BUSINESS

MBABANE– A push in the right direction.

Sikelela Mbhamali from the Lubombo Region is one man who can attest to the saying that “All you need is a push in the right direction”.

This comes after Mbhamali received a cash transfer from Baphalali Red Cross Society from a project supported by European Union in Eswatini and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

Mbhamali wasted no time and went straight into his dream of one day owning a poultry farm.

Using the cash transfer he received, he started a poultry farms to sustain his livelihood and that of his family.

“I am grateful to the European Union and Red Cross for their support. This has brought joy and a reason to wake up each morning. I have always wanted a have a poultry farm and today because of the helping hands extended to me, my dream has been made possible.

“It is such a blessing to me and I hope one day I will have enough to also extend a helping hand to others,” said Mbhamali. The assistance received by Mbhamali is under the European Union (EU) Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid which is a Non-Government Organisation that helps save lives and alleviate suffering worldwide.
