MBABANE – Old Mutual Eswatini has partnered with Junior Achievement Eswatini (JA) where youth businesses will be assisted financially and with business mentorship to the tune of E100 000.
The young entrepreneurs made their business plan presentations at Old Mutual offices on the 2nd of November 2023 where they shared their dreams and how they envisage taking their businesses to the next level.
The Executive Director of JA, Phetsile Masilela said they seek to promote self-employment among the youth of Eswatini. “The youth will be able to provide basic needs for their families and become social entrepreneurs hence we assist youth-led businesses,” she said.
Old Mutual Customer and Marketing Specialist, Nokwanda Dlamini said that the businesses were continuing with their presentation and they were yet to award funds to the successful businesses.
It is said that the partnership between JA Eswatini and Old Mutual falls under Old Mutual’s Responsible Business portfolio, this partnership will see youth-led businesses being supported yearly going forward.
