E20.9M FUNDING FOR LOCAL COMPANIES

MBABANE – Local companies, start-ups, and social enterprises in Southern and Eastern Africa are invited to submit applications for funding and support for clean energy projects.

According to information sourced from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, financing is available in a form of grants or repayable grants and are between E4 182 000 to E20 910 000 (€200 000 to €1 000 000).

This is an exciting opportunity for Emaswati and other Southern and Eastern African innovators to receive backing for their projects and help them reach their full potential. The aim of this initiative is to identify and support promising clean energy projects that have the potential to positively impact communities and the environment.

Women entrepreneurs and locally-led organizations are strongly encouraged to apply for funding and support. This initiative is specifically designed to empower women and local communities to develop and implement clean energy projects that can improve quality of life and boost economic development. The program is open to all applicants, but special consideration will be given to women and locally-led organizations.

The deadline for applications is 15 March 2024 at 13:00 (Helsinki time, GMT+2). Applicants should make sure to submit their applications before the deadline to ensure they are considered for funding.
